About
I have 25 years of experience with horses and provide a first class service to my clients. As a freelance riding instructor, I offer group or private lessons for all ages, from lead rein children and nervous adults to competition riders aiming for perfection.
I enjoy the challenges of breaking and schooling horses and I’m well known for my perseverance and problem solving with horses that need a little more time and understanding.

I will offer you knowledge, patience and understanding, tactfully delivered in an adaptable style to suit you and your horse.
Freelance Riding Lessons
I offer freelance instruction for all ages on your own horse or pony at your premises. I am available to teach individual groups, pony club rallies and all riders from beginners to advanced. I specialise in young and problem horses, working the rider through confidence issues to achieve the best horse and rider combination.
Ground Work
Ground work is an essential tool in the development of a horse from an un-backed youngster to a mature competition horse. By establishing boundaries when your horse is young, you can build an understanding for the future.
Schooling
Should you require schooling for your horse, they can stay at our yard or I can visit you stables. This can be flatwork, jumping, manners or simply bringing your horse back into work.
The aim in all my schooling is to enable the horse to be as suitable as possible for the owners level of equestrianism. I encourage riders to be involved so the work may continue at home
Problem Solving
Owners can experience many problems with their horse. Helping to improve these is a very rewarding part of my job. Often it is us who need to change, rather than the horse, which can help the horse find it easier to understand what we are trying to ask.
Clipping and Trimming
I offer a friendly and patient service with quiet clipper for face, both heavy duty and lighter clippers for nervous horses.
